"… Already long ago, from when we sold our vote to no man, the People have abdicated our duties; for the People who once upon a time handed out military command, high civil office, legions — everything, now restrains itself and anxiously hopes for just two things: bread and circuses."
What did you think about the violations of people's rights at the G20?
What do you think about governments that obstruct and prevaricate about multi-billion dollars in public spending?
What do you think about a political party that uses methods such as we saw in the last election to win power?
(I'm pretty sure that this insect won't reply seriously, because it CAN'T reply seriously. Because it is a joke and it's life is a joke. Only nobody is laughing.)
Agree. Suggest changing our motto from "A Mari Usque Ad Mare" (from sea to sea) to "Iniquus At Morigerus" (disgruntled yet compliant).

I think of Tiberius's supposed reaction to the fawning senators: "Men fit to be slaves."
ReplyDeleteCome on Thwap, just because everyone laughed at your ideas for "revolt" doesn't mean the country is hopeless, just you are.
