Faces of the US Invasion of Iraq

Via the cylinder, from Robert Fisk, ... images of the human costs of bush II's oil lust.

And from Sparqui, via breadnroses.ca, ... interviews with US soldiers in The Nation.

That's funny Wayne. I was talking about that idiot elsewhere today.

It's like you read my mind or something.

It is amazing to me how far apart we can be on ..... well everything.

I now know there will never be world peace.

As always I enjoy reading your posts for a different take on things, than I am used to reading.

I'm working on a critique of this Yon character. And two door-knobs who affected to defend him.

"I now know there will never be world peace."

It just struck me, that given how it's your team that's been starting all the wars lately, your lament is kinda ironic.

He is at least in harms way, unlike the talking heads.

The thing that is funny is that, my NDP friend Wayne was the one that told me I should read Yon.

I wish you could see the political commentary of Wayne vs Wayne, every morning at 8:00am at the local coffee shop, we fill the place.

He thinks he wins. :)

I read your comments at CC's blog on Yon. I wonder if I could make money as a mind reader!!! Anyway the points made by anony & anony ak door knobs were really good.

Well, actually Wayne, I intend to take those two dunces apart here.

Yon is writing accurately, so far as his direct experience with that US unit goes.

But he has absolutely no broader perspective that's grounded in reality.

It's garbage, and it's useless.

So it was those evil conservatives that flew those planes on 9/11 and it was that evil CPC that sent our troops to Afghanistan.

frank,

I'm referring to Afghanistan (you can read up right here on my blog about the long process of Western involvement that helped create the Taliban government) and Iraq (which had nothing to do with 9-11), and we can throw in Lebanon, where Israel carpet-bombed an entire country to go after a militia of about 3,000 men.

Thanks for the link, Thwap! I should have done that sooner.
