There's been a few things I've wanted to post but lack of time and energy have prevented me from doing so. One essay had already been started a couple of days ago. However, Caitlin Johnstone posted about the astonishing utterances of serial Democrap speechwriter Sarah Hurwitz at something called the Jewish Federations of North America Assembly last weekend:
Former Obama speechwriter Sarah Hurwitz made some very revealing remarks during an appearance at the Jewish Federations of North America General Assembly on Sunday, expressing frustration with the way younger Jews are dismissing pro-Israel arguments because of the carnage they’ve seen in Gaza.
“We are now wrestling with a new I think generational divide here, and I think that’s particularly true in that social media is now our source of media,” Hurwitz said. “It used to be that the news you got in America was American media, and it was pretty mainstream; you know it generally didn’t express extreme anti-Israel views. You had to go to a pretty weird bookstore to find global media and fringe media. But today we have social media, which is the global medium; its algorithms are shaped by billions of people worldwide who don’t really love Jews. So while in the 1990s a young person probably wasn’t going to find Al Jazeera or someone like Nick Fuentes, today those media outlets find them; they find them on their phones.”
“It’s also this increasingly post-literate media; less and less text, more and more videos,” Hurwitz continued. “So you have TikTok just smashing our young people’s brains all day long with video of carnage in Gaza. And this is why so many of us cannot have a sane conversation with younger Jews, because anything that we try to say to them, they are hearing it through this wall of carnage. So I want to give data and information and facts and arguments, and they are just seeing in their minds: carnage. And I sound obscene.”
Hurwitz went on to say that Holocaust education has begun backfiring, because it has been giving young people the wrong impression that genocide is always bad.
“And you know I think unfortunately, the very smart bet that we made on Holocaust education to serve as anti-semitism education in this new media environment, I think that is beginning to break down a little bit because, you know, Holocaust education is absolutely essential, but I think it may be confusing some of our young people about antisemitism,” Hurwitz said. “Because they learn about big, strong Nazis hurting weak, emaciated Jews, and they think oh, antisemitism is like anti-black racism, right? Powerful white people against powerless black people. So, when on TikTok all day long, they see powerful Israelis hurting weak, skinny Palestinians, it’s not surprising that they think, Oh, I know the lesson of the Holocaust is you fight Israel. You fight the big powerful people hurting the weak people.”

Hurwitz isn’t denying Israel’s abuses or framing its genocidal atrocities as the problem, she’s just coming right out and saying that people obtaining information and moral clarity about those abuses is the problem. The atrocities aren’t wrong, what’s wrong is people seeing those atrocities and calling them what they are.
I've written about this insanity before. The insanity of narcissism, wherein one is so self-absorbed that they disconnect from reality. Whether it's the Jewish woman at a counter-protest against people demonstrating at a Thornhill synagogue advertising the sale of stolen Palestinian land,[during a fucking genocide!] who saw fit to hold up a sign saying "Stop The Hate!" or Doug Ford thinking he's still a nice guy as he sells Ontario out to corporate profiteers while engaging in brazen corruption himself.
Hurwitz is obviously articulate. And she's dimly aware of how her vile racist beliefs would look bad were the discussion about anyone besides Israelis and the people whose lands they covet. But because she's infected by racism (the same way that many Canadians, especially those who live in areas with a large First Nations population, are racist and delusional) she is unable to apply sanity to her analysis.
You can't reason with human beings who have gone so far down the drain as Hurwitz has. Can you? Something in her mind has switched and you can speak the words to her but she will be entirely incapable of processing them.
I was thinking about going on about other individuals with a similar degree of insanity on other subjects (like Democratic Party zombies), but I think I'll just relate Caitlin Johnstone's other articles about Israeli mental and moral degeneracy that she also wrote recently.
The first one had to do with a whale shark that washed up on the beach in Gaza. A whale shark isn't a whale, which is to say, a mammal. It needs water to breath. If it wasn't dead before it washed up on that beach it would have been dead within a minute or two. Apparently, actual whales [mammals] can live for days out of the water before they die.
As Johnstone points out; the Israeli authorities knew it was a whale shark days before it was beached. Days before Palestinians in Gaza, being deliberately starved to death by the Nation of Israel (both the Israeli government and the Israeli population), ran down and began carving it up to eat it.
In one of the more freakish acts of genocide propaganda we’ve seen in the last two years, the official Twitter account of the Israel Foreign Ministry made a post smearing desperate, starving civilians as cruel savages using the false allegation that they “tore apart” a “whale” that had become “stranded” on the beach.
“Gazans tore apart a stranded whale on the beach. This is cruelty that knows no limits. But we didn’t hear anything about it from Greta PR Thunberg,” the ministry tweeted, with accompanying footage of people using ropes to move the body of a sea creature on the beach.
There’s a lot to unpack about this one, but bear with me, because while this instance of propaganda wouldn’t even make a Top Ten Thousand list of the most evil things Israel has done, it says so much about the way this genocidal apartheid state dehumanizes the Palestinian people.
A quick glance shows that the animal in the video is not a “whale” at all but a whale shark, easily recognizable by the distinct spots and ridges on its back which no species of whale possesses. Whale sharks are not a type of whale at all, but the world’s largest species of fish, so named only because of their immense size.
Israel’s Foreign Ministry falsely claimed the animal was a “whale” because “starving civilians eat a fish” does not make for good propaganda if you’re trying to frame them as loathsome barbarians.
Whales, unlike fish, can survive for hours or even days if they become stranded on land because they breathe air. The post is crafted to convey the image of a bunch of uncivilized subhumans ripping apart a sentient mammal while still alive in order to pull at the heart strings of western environmentalists.
There is no such thing as a “stranded” fish; there are fish in the water and there are dead fish. The whale shark in the video was dead, and had probably been dead for some time.
To be clear, the Israeli government did not innocently misidentify a species of fish as a whale. The Israeli press had already reported that a whale shark had been butchered for food on the shores of Gaza, after having previously reported on sightings of the animal off Israel’s shores weeks earlier.
In a sense this is a distinction without a difference, because only a monster would begrudge starving civilians feeding their children with actual whale meat in desperate times anyway. There is an overwhelming and consistent consensus among humanitarian aid groups that the people of Gaza are being starved by Israel.
But the fact that they’d go out of their way to lie about such a thing in order to make Palestinians look like depraved vermin really illustrates the hateful intensity with which Israel wants to exterminate these people.
I mean, think about it. Firstly, on its face the Israeli government is suggesting that the lives of Palestinians are worth less than the life of a single whale. Just that one fact, all by itself, shows you how low the Israelis rank the value of Palestinian life in the grand order of things.
Then they had to Israelify their position even more by lying about it, falsely claiming that a beached whale was torn apart by primitive sadists who should have instead helped the animal return to sea. An animal that they knew was dead.
Absolute insanity. Starve your fellow humans and then condemn them when they try to survive. Even to the point of telling stupid lies about how they were cutting up a dying whale rather than (as you knew at the time) it was a shark. Even if it WAS a fucking whale, starvation (as opposed to colonialist greed) makes people desperate. [I'm reminded of the story of one Hitlerite nazi, perhaps Himmler, perhaps Ribbentrop, perhaps someone else, condemning Red Army prisoners of war resorting to cannibalism while being deliberately starved to death in German captivity to a Swedish diplomat, who was reduced to speechlessness when the Swede pointed out that they wouldn't do so if the Germans would give them food.]
And as insane and disgusting as that was, the Israelis (who want you to know how much they love animals [they made videos of Israeli Child-Killing Force members rescuing stray puppies in the Israeli-destroyed Gaza strip to demonstrate their awesome loving natures after all]) later went on a rampage in the West Bank and invaded a Palestinian farm and tortured and killed their lambs!
Israeli settlers were filmed torturing lambs which belonged to Palestinians in the West Bank.
Gouged their eyes out. Smashed them with cinder blocks. Beat them to death in front of their mothers.
Lambs.
It’s not the most evil thing the Israelis have done. Not by a long shot. Hell, all of human civilization subjects animals to cruel abuses every minute of every day through the horrors of factory farming.
But this particular incident shines a special sort of light into exactly what’s going on behind Israeli eyes over there in that sadistic society.
Think about the hatred and savagery you’d need to summon up within yourself to gouge the eyes out of a living baby sheep. Think about the kind of person you’d have to become to do something like that to an innocent creature.
Those lambs didn’t know they were Palestinian. They didn’t know anything about Hamas or October 7 or the Nazi Holocaust, or any of the other reasons Israelis generally cite for their abuses of human beings.
They were just sitting there, doing absolutely nothing that could possibly be construed as harmful by even the most talented hasbarist.
And those settlers went in there and inflicted completely gratuitous suffering upon them.
This, to me anyway, just says so much about the level of vitriolic hatred by which the state of Israel is sustained. It’s baked in to the way the whole state is set up.
...
Those settlers who tortured those lambs believed they were doing what needed to be done. They believe they need to terrorize the Palestinians and make life so nightmarish for them that they go somewhere else, which will allow for more Jewish settlement on Palestinian territory.
Those tortured lambs were the product of everything that Israel is as a state. Which could of course be said about every victim of Israeli sadism over the last eight decades, human and non-human alike.
This is Israel. This is Zionism. This is what it looks like when Zionists get everything they want. You’re looking at it. This is it.
Again (and as Johnstone herself states in both of her articles) it isn't so much that these lies about eating a whale, or the hypocrisy of condemning eating a shark and then torturing a baby lamb, are the worst things that Israelis have done. It's just that this depraved, racist hatred, which has been coddled and enabled by The West for decades, has created such an insane culture that someone like Sarah Hurwitz could feel confident to publicly announce that teaching people about The Holocaust backfired because people (even young North American Jews) got the message that state-sanctioned, racist mass-murder campaigns are wrong no matter which state is doing it. Hurwitz says out loud, on a public stage, that Israel should be allowed to perpetuate a genocide against the Palestinians because this is Israel we're talking about. The Jewish Homeland. And it is a necessity to exterminate the original inhabitants of the land because the Israelis need their "lebensraum." And when sane people gasp in horror she looks around like a fucking idiot and says "What? What'd I say???"
