"Russia-gate" Dead-Enders

So, Robert Mueller ... you remember him? This guy:

[That had been a video of Mueller lying to the US Congress about Iraq's non-existent "Weapons of Mass Destruction."]

Had somehow morphed into this:

Well, he's delivered his final report to the US Attorney-General and apparently there'll be no further indictments as a result of his investigation. USAG Barr has delivered a summary to Congress that says much the same thing. So, even though nobody but the crooked executive branch has read the report, unless they're clearly lying about what's in it, Donald Trump isn't going to be impeached for colluding with Vladimir Putin to steal the 2016 US Presidential Election.

There's two ways to respond to this. This way:

"Trump Victim Of Witch Hunt Say 50% Of Americans"

That's a video from "The Jimmy Dore Show" where they have been pushing back against the ridiculous "russiagate" conspiracy theory the entire time. As the Mueller inquiry began to wind down, and it was looking less and less like the hysterical accusations of "TREASON!" would were going to be validated, many "ordinary" US-Americans were starting to sympathize with Trump. That all of the journalists who fixated on this conspiracy theory for over two years, asserting almost weekly, that they'd uncovered another "bombshell" that was going to end Trump's presidency, have needlessly shredded their credibility. And that fixating on this stupid story has distracted the leadership of the Democratic Party from dealing with the significance of their own corruption and unpopularity. The "russiagate" peddlers have done more damage to themselves than they've hurt Trump.

Or this way.

"Lawyers, Guns, and Money: Whining and crying and deflecting and moving their own fucking goal-posts whilst accusing others of same"

That's the link where they quote a screed that I'm going to unpack. But I just want to point out that searching for the original source was fruitless. Here goes ...
Their most cherished conviction, such as it is, is that the sole responsibility for Trump’s victory lies with Hillary Clinton, the Worst. Candidate. Ever., who only got the nomination because the primary was totally rigged by the invidious Democratic Party. And anything that disagrees with this story — or even simply concerns something else — is not only, by definition, false, it is also, by definition, nothing more or less than an attempt to change the subject from the only thing that matters in politics: the awfulness of the Democratic Party and the shrill, wicked, and neoliberal Hillary Rodham Clinton.
And there are also people who think of themselves as being on the left who were already buying Putin’s propaganda for years before 2016. So you have outfits like The Nation, which isn’t really anti-anti-Trump, but is totally invested in Putin apologia for other reasons. And, of course, RT and more covert Russian propaganda outlets are deeply invested in this, too.
All of this makes denialism about the Russian role in the election even more vociferous than, say, Comey letter denialism or misogyny denialism, both of which are also part of the it’s-all-about-Clinton (boo hiss) worldview.
Let's begin:

Their most cherished conviction, such as it is, is that the sole responsibility for Trump’s victory lies with Hillary Clinton, the Worst. Candidate. Ever.,

As opposed to these fucking Hillary-bots who said that that corrupt war-monger was the BEST. CANDIDATE. EVAH!!! Ha-ha! The fact of the matter is that HRC stank as a candidate. She didn't mobilize her base. She spit on them. She represented a rotten status-quo. She didn't attract crowds. She was a disaster. But please, continue whining ...

who only got the nomination because the primary was totally rigged by the invidious Democratic Party. And anything that disagrees with this story — or even simply concerns something else — is not only, by definition, false,

Jesus-fucking-christ. It's an established fact that HRC and the DNC rigged the primaries. This imbecile is trying to guilt people for wanting to point that out. What shameless hackery.

it is also, by definition, nothing more or less than an attempt to change the subject from the only thing that matters in politics: the awfulness of the Democratic Party and the shrill, wicked, and neoliberal Hillary Rodham Clinton.

I know! HOW DARE genuine progressives try to condemn the Democratic Party for being corrupt and for pointing out that HRC really was a rotten candidate. How dare we condemn these brazen fuck-faces for giving the US-electorate a candidate so terrible that she lost to Donald Trump! I mean, shouldn't we all pull together and forget about the HRC/DNC corruption, and instead focus on a bullshit conspiracy theory for two fucking years, to the exclusion of so much else, and then, when the investigation into our conspiracy theory turns out to show us to have been screeching idiots, whine like angry piglets about unfair everyone is!

What's the response to your conspiracy theory being exposed as rancid feces? MORE CONSPIRACY THEORIES!!!! WHO are these unnamed self-identifying leftists who have been buying Putin's propaganda? What propaganda? What does any of that mean????? By "The Nation" the shit-head is referring to the articles by Aaron Maté who has repeatedly asked for evidence of direct Kremlin interference in the 2016 election while also pointing out willful distortions of what Mueller was doing, and who has been PROVEN RIGHT. Supposedly this makes him a Putin apologist. Just like if you didn't believe Cheney-bush II lies about WMD's you were a Saddam apologist. Just like if you don't want to see Syria dismembered and ruined by nutbar jihaadists you're an Assad apologist. And, whoa! "Russia Today" pushed-back against "russiagate"! Imagine that! Amazing. Oh wow! I just thought of something! The entirety of the US corporate media supports every foreign war and military adventure and sanctions regime that any and all US administration has launched! Golly-gee!

All of this makes denialism about the Russian role in the election even more vociferous than, say, Comey letter denialism or misogyny denialism, both of which are also part of the it’s-all-about-Clinton (boo hiss) worldview.

Unless and until you provide the fucking EVIDENCE for Russian interference, it's not "denialism." The Comey letter? I don't deny that it was sleazy, underhanded, or significant. In fact, it was probably very significant as the election dragged to its conclusion. I don't deny that HRC suffered from misogyny. It was a very real factor? Also a factor was that HRC was a shitty candidate who ran a shitty campaign. Also, she's a shitty person. Also, it's a FACT that she rigged the primary to defeat Bernie Sanders. Also, it's a FACT that Sanders consistently polled better against Trump. Okay?? That last FACT is just what it is: a FACT. I don't want to suck Bernie Sanders' cock just because I point out the FACT that he polled better against Trump than did HRC. It's just a FACT that he was robbed and that he probably would have beaten Trump. Which means that the Trump presidency is partially on the HRC campaign. Especially since they encouraged him as a "pied-piper candidate" who they thought would be easier to beat since he was so ridiculous. So while you're bitching and whining about how HRC's loss produced Trump, take the time to condemn yourselves and HRC for your part in this debacle. You stupid fucks.

It's possible to condemn HRC as the piece-of-shit that she is while simultaneously hating Trump. Actually, it's imperative that people be able to do this or else we'll never emerge from this nightmare. You stupid fucks.

Look, here's what we have based on the EVIDENCE. It's most likely that an insider within the HRC campaign or the DNC leaked the emails n' shit to Wikileaks. All the stuff that was released was true and it showed the corruption of the Democratic primaries in favour of HRC. It also showed HRC to be a duplicitous actor, a craven stooge of Wall Street.

Lots of members of Trump's team were indicted for things that had nothing to do with the central charge of collusion with Putin to impact the 2016 election.

The Internet Research Agency is a TROLL FARM. It posts memes on facebook to get people to "like" them and thereby get themselves on people's newsfeeds. Then, businesses can buy ads that are seen by the various demographics that have "liked" one or the other of the bullshit groups the IRA has created. That's it. That's what it does. It posted pro-Bernie, pro-Hillary, pro-Trump, pro-Black Lives Matter, pro-NRA, anti-Black Lives Matter, anti-Hillary, anti-Trump memes and sold ads targeted to the demographics who would have "liked" any of those memes.

Many of these ads were purchased AFTER the goddamned election and so BY DEFINITION could not have influenced the fucking goddamned election. More importantly, at the time NOBODY NOTICED these fucking ads. Nobody was talking about these mysterious ads supposedly swinging the election and dividing the country. It wasn't an issue then and it shouldn't be an issue now. And the fact that otherwise intelligent people are pretending they believe the IRA was a significant factor in HRC's loss is another reason why I've lost my faith in humanity.

Finito.
