Listening to Obama's "Victory" Speech

A bunch of crap. Cult of personality indeed. They didn't clap for "a new and better America," ... they clapped for his announcement of his victory.

He spent loads of time talking about vague "change."

Trying to mend fences with ego-maniac Hillary Clinton. He's got good writers, but nobody outside America really cares.

This really is a historic moment though.

But it's like the story of this gigantic eggshell sitting in the middle of town. It's huge. Everyone talks about. But it's brittle-thin and there's nothing inside of it. But the trumpeters keep blaring about it.

"Chart a new course for America!" ... Uh, what does that mean exactly?

Stop being so cynical, Thwap. It was a great speech... and if you don't think he's more then just a good orator.. you haven't been paying attention.

The upcoming campaign against McSame will highlight that better however.

I agree 100 percent with your assessment of Mr. Obama.
He is slick, hypnotic, and his vague and empty message of "change" rings hollow.

He has grabbed ankle for all of the required lobby groups and corporations that run America.

Aside from his ethnicity and party label, not much else will change.
If he manages to dodge the bullets of all the White supremacy (likely patsies), Zionist hate groups and the other power cabals vying for their own profiteering and mass murder agendas.

If he can manage that, he will still have to campaign against the right wing smear machine and Hillary's armies of "middle class whites" who just cannot bring themselves to vote for a black man with an Arabic middle name.

While there are the known and unknown factors that could easily derail this false "hope" opiate ride he is selling, much like all of the so called "democracies" in the world, by the time you reach any position of power or near power you have already sold your soul to special interests that don't give a hot goddamn about "the people".

Look at the Democrats in congress who campaigned hard on the "Change" theme.
they won congress and not a damn thing has "changed" except the asses in the chairs.

The final word in American "democracy" is Diebold.
American elections are officially rigged anyway. There are reams of documentation proving this.
If Obama can jump through the many fiery hoops in front of him (some intended to stop him and some intended to create the illusion that he is the opposite of the corporatist establishment), he would still have to overcome the corrupt gatekeepers of the electronic ballot box.

Choice, change, Heroes and hope are cheap platitudes tossed about these days by disingenuous partisans.
He will have to stand at the crossroads and make a "Robert Johnson" deal to survive this election politically or perhaps literally.

All that said, John McCain is a fucking delusional maniac and of the single party options in America I would rather see Obama take it for that reason alone.

I still don't know why people feel they need to default their intellects and imaginations to charismatic "leaders" in order to change their lives. Wait, scrub that, I do.

Shit I need to start blogging again.

Beauty On, Thwap.

Young Fox,

You're telling me. I'll go over and check on you.

Obama told US-Americans who were downsized as a result of NAFTA that he'd do something about it. Then (we learn thanks to Harperite morons leaking this fact) he told the Canadian government not to worry, he was just telling those poor slobs what he thought they wanted to hear.

What can you say after that?
