$1.1 Billion - Because Canadians are S-O-O-O-O Violent

Bull-fucking-shit. Goddamned "radical" Canadians line-up 98% to condemn a rock thrown through a department store window!

It's a fucking joke. harper's turning Toronto into a ghost-town for the G-Whatever conference. Because in his authoritarian brain, only a city of the dead is safe enough for him.

Except we're paying for it. Defeat this government. NOW!

For comparison, in February 2010, the U.S. spent $6.7 billion in Afghanistan and $5.5 billion in Iraq. Per 72-hour interval, the U.S. spent on average:

$0.72 billion in Afghanistan
$0.59 billion in Iraq

The, uh, "good" side is that the security spending is less costly per unit time than fighting two wars simultaneously (in your face, U.S.!!1!11oneone!).

The bad side is that I just managed to roughly equate the cost of deploying hundreds of thousands of U.S. troops, special forces, hundreds of fighter planes, bombers, drones, warships, etc.... to the cost of keeping a few dozen people safe in the dangerous, dangerous (dangerous, I say!) city of Toronto for three days.

Thankfully, we solved world hunger, poverty, sanitation, and disease recently; otherwise, there would be such better ways to spend our money... oh, wait... (facepalms)

Oh yeah. The idea that all this money is being spent so that the morons who've brought the world to this sorry state can stammer and drool at each other in a futile search for "solutions" to their own messes, ... arggh.
