harper the Homophobe

harper's cold, clammy, homophobic hands are all over the asinine statement from the Justice Department lawyer that non-Canadian gays and lesbians who got married in Canada were never married to begin with.

If there's a residency requirement for divorce, then say so and STFU. You gotta know that the blurting out of something so legally atrocious and morally offensive as "they were never married to begin with" was the result of some high-level harpercon cabinet meeting (maybe when John Baird and Jason Kenny were sent out to pick-up some dinner) where these cretins discussed how to attack homosexuals as if there wasn't anything less ridiculous and nothing more important for a Canadian government to be talking about but stupid religious bigotry.

I'm not a nationalist. I'm no patriot. But there used to be more moments when I took some pride in being from Canada than I've been having lately.

There is no question in my mind that harper knew about this, he fully intended to get it back in the news. It's cleverly designed to take some heat off him "I'm totally surprised and OUR government is not re-opening the issue", comes out smelling like a rose, and see, I'm a moderate. When really, the whole idea is to get the sheep focused on this and they can go to town on fixing the economy, ie get people off the Enbridge pipeline. It's classic republican politics and the media should be asking some real questions here. And that disgusting man is a certified homophobe, no doubt about that. Don't know how Baird lives with himself knowing that everyone around him thinks he's an abomination from a non-existent god.

I'm not sure he timed it deliberately, but he's definitely capable of doing one scuzzy thing to help him do another scuzzy thing.

Someone should shove an oil pipeline up his ass.

Oh Lord. You know this case is hardly news and the actions of one Crown lawyer means nothing. People think the law has changed. It hasn't, nothing has. This was an issue that was bound to come-up sooner or later. So get a grip.

I suspect that lots of Canadians agree with your last sentence, thwap.

You clearly have NO idea what you're talking about.

So besides empty protests and sitting on our hands for a few years, what are we going to do about it?

That's the million-dollar question.

Sure I do. The problem has been solved, actually a new can of worms has been openned, but still they did something.

You have no idea whether this bone-headed move was something cooked up by the harpercon homophobes or not.
