That's where I is right now. Have to say "The Thunder Bay Restaurant" is a cute little diner. One funny woman is both waitress and cook, so there's sometimes a little bit of waiting and you have to refill your own coffee sometimes, but you don't really mind.

Sounds like many a small town restaurant.
Utterly charming isn't it?
I do miss that sort of atmosphere living in more densely populated stop, start, hurry up regions.
Have a good trip man.
I liked it so much I went back. Down the street is a place called "Hoito" which is Finnish for "Care."
Apparently it was founded by Finnish forestry workers in 1918 who found it difficult to get a good, cheap meal when in town.
Some good working class culture among those Northern Ontario Finns.
My word verification (haven't logged in yet) is "zessesse." that's kinda purty.
Just to be clear: unless you live in a metropolis the size of`Toronto or larger, a city of 100,000-plus couldn't possibly be considered a "small town." If T Bay is a small town, then what is Dryden (pop. 8,000 or so) or Fort Frances (smaller) or Pickle Lake (smaller still)?
well, when you live in a world-class city like Hamilton, Ontario with 300,000 people, 100,000 is ... um, .. okay
