Why do the European vassals in NATO want to continue to drag out Ukraine's agony? They are desperately trying to militarize themselves (after severely damaging their industrial base by cutting themselves off from Russian energy) and they are launching a brazen campaign of propaganda trying to instill fear in their populations that Russia is attacking them. It doesn't appear to be working because what neo-liberal shit-heads don't (and can't) understand, is that when you constantly fuck people over they see no reason to die for you.
Let's dispense with all the mainstream propaganda that Putin is an incorrigible imperialist who wants to rebuild the Russian empire. No. He was a man who took control of a rich, but devastated country and applied some sense of sanity to it by ignoring the self-interested advice of Western analysts, and restored the potential of a gigantic, resource-rich, cultured, proud people.
Hint: Wouldn't that be in best interest of ANY Russian politician????
What about Donald Trump?
To listen to those who cluster around the Democratic Party's shit-for-brains leadership, Donald Trump is an 80-year old man-child who has no impulse control and absolutely no brains who believes whatever the last sycophant told him.
The dangerous reality is that he is a very cunning, shameless, megalomaniac with no impulse control, who has been escaping consequences since forever, and who has many long-term plans for himself (despite his advanced age, because he is delusional) and who is perfectly capable of integrating other people's long-term plans into his own self-interested schemes.
Superficially, Trump is blaming Zelensky's attacks on Russian oil refineries for the world's energy shortages. But Russia hasn't been exporting to the West anything like the amounts of fuel that it sent before the NATO-proxy war. The price increases due to this stupid war were already locked-in when Trump let Israel blackmail him into supporting its war on Iran (by threatening to release the multiple videos of Trump raping adolescent girls on Epstein's properties).
But, even if Trump is right that Ukrainian attacks on Russian refineries are a factor, it is the USA (through the CIA) that is allowing those attacks to happen, by providing the weapons and the satellite intelligence needed to target those installations.
So is it simply Trump lying about the causes of the recent oil price increases?
Perhaps. But then Trump takes it farther by announcing a deal with Russia to remove sanctions and allow them to export diesel to the USA. He also slows down the military version of Starlink that was being used by the Ukrainian military, fucking-up both Ukraine's attacks on Russian energy infrastructure and front-line Ukrainian military using it for their own targeting and self-defence.
Clear evidence of Trump's disdain for the Ukrainians and his love for Putin?
But the satellite systems are being restored. The weapons are continuing to arrive. Sort of. Because the USA is running out of weapons and what remains goes first to the USA's stockpiles and then Israel gets first call on the rest. And most analysts have stated that whatever Russia exports under this deal will essentially be a mere rounding-error when compared with the shortages resulting from the chaos in West Asia.
But world oil-market experts point to the USA's cunning, bipartisan strategy of attacking any and all sources of petroleum for China, including the positioning of a military base on Greenland to interdict Russian arctic shipments. By stealing Venezuela's oil and depriving China of it. In this vein, was Iran's attacks on Omani and Qatari LNG facilities another nefarious means to limit China's options?
Why don't we look at it this way: Trump knows that the NATO-proxy war, using Ukraine against Russia, has failed. For his own reasons, Trump is sympathetic to Russia. Therefore he is free to say and do things that drive deluded partisans (Democratic Party warmongers and old-guard Republican warmongers) into a rage. But, nonetheless, he allows the war to continue because it DOES weaken Russia. AND, he forces Europe to pay for the war, by building up their own war industry, but also, by buying a LOT of US-made weapons.
For it is the European "centrist" politicians, the disgusting blob of hollowed-out "social democrats" and corrupt, entrenched, mainstream capitalist parties like the Conservatives and the Christian Democrats, who are braying the loudest for war with Russia.
And, as far as I can tell, it is because they know that they're declining faster than the USA. The USA has its own food and fuel and other natural resources. Europe is losing its competitive edge and it lacks the access to natural resources necessary to build more. And, all the while, other, formerly poor and backward countries are rising and competing with Europe for access to these resources. The French are losing their control over former African colonies. These subsidized France's economy, and, therefore, indirectly subsidized Europe.
This is all coming to an end, and, in desperation, these deluded imbeciles thought that they could (with the USA's help) destroy and break up Russia and somehow be able to steal their resources, even though they were losing their ability to steal African and West Asian resources.
I still think that the end-result of all these insane jugglers is the end of US hegemony and the rise of multi-polarity.
