With the lawless, murderous, racist, sexist, fascist ramapaging of the Trump regime in Minnesota, and the way that the regime's supporters not only defend it, but celebrate it, ... the sickening reality of how debased the world has become is evident for all to see.

Make no mistake about it.  Trump is a deranged, perverted idiot.  True, he is possessed of ruthlessness and cunning, which, combined with the money he was born into and his sociopathic instinct for self-aggrandizement, has carried him far.  

But he wouldn't have been able to get as far as the presidency of the United States of America had that society been socially and economically devastated by decades of neo-liberal depredations while simultaenously having its collective intelligence sabotaged by decades of fascist propaganda like FOX News.

Trump is a disgusting full-time grifter.  A thief.  A bloated, violent serial rapist and child molester.  A laughably vain, stinking shambles of humanity.  The difference between him and Joe Biden is that while both are complicit in the genocide of the Palestinians in Gaza, Trump wants to build a casino resort over their corpses while Biden was content to merely advance what he stupidly believed were America's strategic interests in the Middle East.

Trump is blocking the release of the Epstein files because he knows that he's in them.  A lot of other powerful men are in them.  None of them wants the files released.  These oligarch rapists of children aren't going to kick up too much of a fuss as Trump ignores legal deadlines and breaks all of his promises to his idiot fan-base.

And his fans!  His supporters!  "MAGA"!  What pathetic vermin!  Screeching in racist panic about the "hordes of illegals" that are "flooding" the United States!  So degenerate and debased that they imagine that every person desperately fleeing violence and poverty [created by US-led neo-liberal regimes] in Latin America is trying to steal their jobs and rape and kill white women.  For that reason they're happy to see Trump's gestapo, the greatly expanded Immigration Customs Enforcement (ICE) arresting asylum seekers attending court dates, people with work or study permits, janitors, nannies, construction day-workers, and their children, and even American citizens.    They get positively gleeful at children being traumatized, families torn apart, and genuine refugees from genuinely violent countries like Honduras and El Salvador, or from countries the USA media system have declared are violent authoritarian regimes like Cuba and Venezuela, being sent to concentration camps like Alligator Alcatraz in Florida or CECOT in El Salvador, where they are kept in inhuman conditions.

You want to know how Hitler rose to power?  From the support of people like MAGA.  Human beings cursed with the right-wing amygdala.

Okay?  Afraid.  Reactionary.  Prone to lash out.  But mostly afraid.  Afraid of difference.  Needing to believe in protective father figures like a god, or (gawd help us all) Donald Trump.  Stupid people.  Disgusting people.  Hypocrites.  US-American freedoms?  Freedom to protest?  Freedom of Assembly?  The right to record public officials?  The right to bear arms?  The rights to Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of Happiness?  Free Speech?

It's clear from their reactions the the murders of American citizens Renee Good and Alex Pretti that these disgusting idiots care about none of those things.  At least when it comes to people they disagree with it.  Instead these shit-heads become craven bootlickers of authority saying that when an American citizen gets told something by a government authority (or even multiple, contradictory instructions from several government authorities at once) it is the duty of an American citizen to comply.  And even then, just for being at a protest they've apparently foreited their right to live.

These people are disgusting, stupid, ignorant cowards and they probably can't even process their own hypocrisy, terrorized as they are by a reality that overwhelms them.

Of course, as with fascism in the 1920's and the 1930's, fascism in the early-21st Century needed the misery and hopelessness and despair created by capitalist crises in order to prosper.  From 1920 to 1933 it was the post-war convulsions in Europe (especially in the defeated countries of Germany and Italy) and the economic catastrophe of the Great Depression that produced the fascist mass-movements.

Today it is neo-liberal, financialized late-capitalism.  It is the globalization of jobs to brutalized factories in the periphery, or to China [another story].  It is mass immigration from periphery countries that are suffering from the same economic stagnation that the mass of the populations of the core countries are suffering from, only people from Honduras, Nigeria, Bangladesh, etc., had fewer resources to begin with.  It is people fleeing violence from wars started by the USA.  And, it is also the growth in the means to leave those countries, either via airplanes, or boats or the networks for such movements of people that have been deveolped over decades.

Trump (and other fascists) are the response of imbeciles to this crisis.  The mainstream centrist and "social democratic" parties continue to preside over this rotten, dehumanizing system.  Insane, deluded, arrogant, increasingly senile: Think Hillary Clinton, Joe Biden, Antony Blinken, Crystia Freeland, Mark Carney, Neera Tanden, Gavin Newsom, Keir Starmer, Emmanuel Macron, Ursula von der Leyen, Kamala Harris.

They think they're geniuses but Trump and his ilk continue to kick their asses.  Because Trump throws red meat to his stupid supporters.  [Remember the words of John Stuart Mill.]

"Conservatives are not necessarily stupid, but most stupid people are conservatives,"

Trump provides his followers with scapegoats and violence against the scapegoats and those who would defend them.  

What does the Democratic Party offer its own base?  For workers, practically nothing.  For everybody? Corruption and genocide.  Kamala Harris and her advisors were so arrogant and entitled, that when she was installed without any pretence of democracy as the Democratic candidate for president (after Joe Biden's campaign imploded due to his long-acknowledged senility) and she knew that support for Israel's genocide of the Palestinians was hurting her chances, these voters were told "Both parties want to murder your family members in Palestine, but I'll see that your grocery bill is smaller."

Look at the hapless fuck-faces in charge of the disintegrating European Union.  Getting slapped around by Trump.  They self-sabotaged their own economies to try to destroy Russia, and now Trump has left them holding the bag for Ukraine.  They have neither the money nor the weapons to sustain Ukraine in its doomed struggle.  But they can't admit this so they come up with one bullshit initiative after another.  Meanwhile, the population continues to struggle under economic stagnation and becomes increasingly desperate and racist.

Trump and MAGA and 21st-Century world fascism required neoliberal arrogance, insanity and cruelty to thrive and they've got an unending supply of it from these shit-heads.

And then there's The Left.  Unable to articulate an alternative to the insanity.  Which is not to say that leftists don't describe fantastic scenarios of utopias.  Or pipe-dreams of increase this or strengthened that.  They provide those things but they don't provide a framework for how to achieve any of it.

I've been watching them for years and it seems to me it's either: A: Get a social democratic electoral platform that will just be so self-evidently good for ordinary people that they will realize that voting for the fascist, fascist-lite or neoliberal party is stupid and we'll win a bunch of seats and then we'll just implement those policies with no opposition (inside or outside parliament) and we'll turn this thing around. or B: Continue to write our little critiques and utopian scenarios to our online audiences and our small circulation presses and our little grouplets.  Continue to have our afternoon peaceful protests and the shouting of "Shame!" and the stupid chants and then something having to do with magic will happen and I've written enough for today.
