Biden to run again ...

Joe Biden has always been a stupid, stupid man.  A man too stupid to know he's stupid.  His ignorance and delusion subsequently allowed him to see himself as a man of substance who spoke wisdom.  But in the corrupt, degenerate politics of Washington D.C. that allowed him to fit right in.  Except now he's [at least] tired.  Old age.  From his outbursts and his incoherent ramblings he is possibly senile.  Remember that last election the pandemic allowed him to hide from the media and the electorate.  This time he most likely won't have that advantage.  Plus; he's four years older.

Trump appears likely to be the Repub nominee.  Even if he isn't, it could be another right-wing, fire-breating, red-meat tossing, shameless hypocrite bloward like Ron DeSantis.  Who will be able to go after Biden for the corruption of his son Hunter, the disaster of his proxy-war with Russia in Ukraine, and the dismal economic situation in general.  That Repugs have their own monstrous corruption problem, are shameless "forever war" war-mongers, and have no sane ideas about how to fix the economy is irrelevant to their shrieking. The end result is going to be a tired, doddering, uninspiring and unispired Biden being forced to defend a dismal record.

Evidently, in his speech, Biden gibbered about his fighting for "the soul of America."  Some other article I read, very similar to the one linked to above, said he was going to fight against the spirit behind the January 6th Capitol Hill riot, Repug attacks on abortion rights (not that he'll do anything to restore those rights) and Repug attacks on voters' rights (not that he'll do anything for minority voters' rights either).  Perhaps the USA's soul is so shrivelled and debased that a contest between these two piece of shit is an accurate reflection of it.  (Just as racist airhead Trudeau vs. racist shit-stain Poillievre represents Canada's.)

Yeah, I was thinking "Oh come on, they're REALLY going to run Biden again?" and then someone pointed out "Well, who else have the Democrats got?" and I was kind of stumped. I mean, they do have a couple of people, but nobody the party would be remotely willing to run with. They'd be left with Pete Bootiewhatsit or something.

PLG,

The Democrats in 2020 were telling everyone that defeating the existential threat of Trump was the supreme necessity. Bernie Sanders was going to run to be their standard bearer and he was the most popular politician in the country according to polling. What did the Democrats do? Sabotaged his campaign [again!] and promote the horrible Biden when none of the other corporate stooges could electrify the people.

Insanity.
