I got a delayed email response from my MP about how the Liberals' wholehearted support for Israeli apartheid and genocide has disgraced Canada. It was a pathetic string of empty platitudes and outright stupidity. We continue to give aid through UNRWA. Canada remains committed to a "Two-State Solution." Canada defends Palestinian self-governance without Hamas.
I had to wonder if he actually believed in any of that garbage or if he was just spewing the party line. Which would mean he either thought there was a chance that I'd believe his bullshit, or, he knew I wouldn't but didn't care.
It's possible he believes all the insane drivel he sent to me. Like those white US southerners gathered around for a lynching postcard who thought they were good people defending their way of life from an oppressed minority. Or like those obnoxious, racist, arrogant Israelis acting as if they really are Gawd's "chosen people." These Liberal Party hacks live in a bubble of racism, arrogance, delusion, cowardice, "pragmatism," capitalism, imperialism, stupidity.
Carney's unimpressive Davos speech was made even more unimpressive by his craven boot-licking support of the USA and Israel's completely illegal, "supreme international crime" of an aggressive war of choice. What was he thinking??? Certainly Canada has to be circumspect when it comes to expressing an opinion about the deranged super-power on our southern border. [Especially in a world where states' sovereignty is always conditional thanks to the world system that Canada has enthusiastically supported, first as a colony of Britain and now the USA.] But is Carney truly incapable of processing how the rest of the world will respond to such filth as poured out of his gob that day?
I'll just close with saying that India's Modi has dragged his country right down into the shit. India struggled mightily for its own independence and then, for decades, acted as a spokes-nation for decolonization and international equality. Then he stupidly goes and embraces genocidal apartheid Israel.

Carney's kind of weird. He always sounds like he's got a careful, thought out, consistent plan. As if I might not agree with the plan, but it's there. And yet if you stop thinking about HOW he says things and just compare the different things he says, it's actually pretty inconsistent.
So far, he's usually managed to get people to believe he means the version they like rather than versions they don't. But with this Iran thing, I feel like cracks are starting to emerge.
As to Modi, fascists like hanging with fascists. And Israel has lots of cool police-state technology. He's got a Muslim minority to oppress, after all.

Tom Tomorrow (of "This Modern World" fame) said something similar about "The Idea of Obama." Obama was a very polished, articulate man who impressed people so much that they projected all sorts of their own aspirations and values on him and convinced themselves that he represented them when he spoke.
Carney appears to be a slightly emptier vessel than Obama.

Once again you demonstrate your inability to argue your way out of a paper bag. That's because you're stupid. You've always been stupid.
For as long as I've known you, you've been an ignorant, confused, inarticulate mediocrity.
What is your idea of "success"? A right-wing party of grifters, supported by degenerate oligarchs and voted for by shit-heads?
A centrist party campaigning on platitudes, financed by a slightly different mix of plutocratic scum and voted for by deluded saps?
Certainly they enjoy a certain amount of success due to their services to the powerful. But if you'll notice (as many others besides me have written) their policies lead to disaster. And their duped voting bases are becoming increasingly disenchanted.
As for the Left, ... well, I've articulated numerous criticisms of social democrats, and tiny groups of "radical" activists and their chanting and their protests. Criticisms that you've never been capable of demolishing because you're an imbecile.

I am NOT isolated and alone beyond this blog. I'm actually doing quite well. I'm not much of an activist because I think it's futile (for reasons I've provided on numerous occasions) but I have my art, and my art friends. I'm occasionally in conversation with leftist writers and scholars who still seek my counsel. And I have gym-rats who I workout and occasionally drink with.
You on the other hand, are clearly a pathetic, broken, lonely, and STUPID person.
And it is no argument against me that the same people who didn't listen to me continue to fail from applying the same useless strategy and tactics that they always have.
